Rhabdomyolysis News
Rhabdomyolysis is a non-cancerous heart tumor that begins in childhood or earlier from a disease called tuberous sclerosis. This is a rare condition and has no effective treatment. The tumor can be diagnosed echocardiography or an MRI .A special catheter is used to get a sample which then is tested to indicate the type of tumor.
If there is only one non-cancerous tumor present, it can be removed by surgery and usually will cure the condition. If more than one tumor is present or the tumor is too large to be removed, the only treatment available is for relief of symptoms.
