Pimples

Pimples Research

Blackheads and whiteheads are the irritants to the skin in acne which produce pimples. Pimples which do not have abscesses and are on the upper layer of the skin have a condition of superficial acne. When the pimples get down into the deep layers of the skin and form abscesses it is a condition of deep acne. Superficial acne is mild and does not leave scars, but deep acne can become severe by spreading into big red patches with pus filled cysts that leave scars.

Treatment that will remove pimples usually consists of applying anibiotics to the skin and under a doctor's direction taking some oral antibiotics. There are numerous ointments, moisturizers and natural items that help with pimples relief. A mild condition of pimples will usually clear up but it may take several months. Deep acne is much more dangerous and the doctor will concentrate on removing the pimples with the least amount of scarring.
