Vaginal Boil
Vaginal boil may affect liver problems and hepatitis.
Abscesses most commonly infect in hair follicles from bacteria on the face, neck, but infections could begin on the skin at any part of the body if there is an injury that breaks the skin. Because the infection of an abscess is extremely contagious, it may be present on the skin and penetrate at the point of injury. The abscess can cause severe pain with tenderness and pus in the center with a feeling of fluid in the area. The skin around the abscess must be kept clean to keep the abscess from infecting the surrounding area which if infected could develop into a dangerous condition of cellulilte. A severe abscess can be treated successfully under a doctor's direction by lancing the abscess, then draining the pus. All pus must be drained from the abscess, but a small remainder may be cleared with a salt solution. If the abscess is completely free of pus, no further treatment is necessary. If the abscess is near the nose, it should not be lanced but should be remedied by oral antibiotics under direction of the doctor. Abscesses located near the nose may cause a brain infection unless elilminated by antibiotics.
