Boil Cause And Treatment
Boil cause and treatment may not affect liver problems or hepatitis.
Abscesses are infections of the skin by staphylococcal. They usually appear on the face or neck and sometimes infect the breast or buttocks. Infections usually begin in hair follicles. Abscesses are like pimples except much larger, are tender and have pus in the center. The infections of abscesses are contagious and could easily infect an entire group living in the same quarters and using the same shower facilities such as a basketball camp or football camp of teen age athletes where the hygiene is poor.

The best prevention for abscesses and also to protect infection to others is to practice good hygiene. The skin must be kept clean with soap. A soap with anti-bacterial substance will provide the most protection. A single abscess can be eliminated with moist heat. This can be done without squeezing or further treatment. Abscesses that are near the nose are dangerous because of the risk of brain damage and should receive oral antibiotics under a doctor's care. A sample of the pus should be taken to a laboratory for information to give to the dactor who will then provide the most effective antibiotic for the infection.
