Head Boil

Head boil may affect liver problems or hepatitis. Abscesses are infections of the skin by staphylococcal bacterium. They usually appear on the face or neck but they can infect the skin on any part of the body. The infection is most commonly in the hair follicles, but they can infect any part of the body that has an injury that breaks the skin. Abscesses are like pimples only much larger, are tender and have pus in the center. Abscesses are extremely contagious and could infect an entire group which might be teenagers at an athletic camp where all use the same facilities along with careless and poor hygiene. Carbuncles are clusters of abscesses that are capable of producing much more pain and fever than single abscesses. The favored spot for carbuncles is the back of the neck. Head boil may affect liver problems or hepatitis.

A severe abscess can be successfully remedied by a doctor who can lance the abscess and then clean out the pus. All the pus must be removed but if there is a small remainder, the doctor can clear it with a salt solution. If the abscess is completely free of the pus, no additional treatment is needed. Abscesses near the nose must not be lanced because of danger of brain infection. Instead, abscesses located near the nose must be given antibiotics by the doctor. Head boil may affect liver problems or hepatitis.
