Facial boil will not affect hepatitis or liver problems. Abscesses are infections of the skin by staphylococcal. They usually appear on the face or neck but sometimes on the breast or buttocks and the infection begins in hair follicles. Abscesses are like pimples, but much larger, are tender, and have pus in the center. The abscesses are extremely contagious and could infect a whole group such as several teenagers at a basketball camp that has the same living quarters, showers and dining area for the group. Carbuncles are clusters of abscesses, which are much more severe,capable of causing chills and fever and much more pain than single abscesses. The best prevention for abscesses and also to protect others from infection is to practice good hygiene. The skin must bs kept clean with soap. A soap with anti-bacterial substances will provide the most protection. A single abscess can be cleared up with moist heat without sqeezing and without further treatment. Abscesses mear the nose should be under a doctor's care to protect the person from brain infection. The doctor must use oral antibiotics and to get the right medication must get a sample of the pus to be examined in a laboratory. Facial boil will not affect hepatitis or liver problems.
