Boil On Butt
Boil on butt may affect liver problems or blood sugar.
Abscesses are infections of the skin by staphylococcal. They most commonly appear on the face or neck but sometimes infect the breast and occasionally infect the buttocks. Because the bacteria must find a break in the skin, most infections start in the hair follicles. Abscesses are much like pimples except much larger, are tender and have pus in the center. The abscess infections are so contagious, a whole group could be infected, typically teenagers at an athletic camp where the group share quarters, the dining area, and toilet and shower facilities. Along with this is poor and careless hygiene. Carbuncles are clusters of abscesses that are much more severe and capable of causing fever and pain far above single abscess infections. The favorite spot for carbuncles is the back of the neck. The best prevention for abscesses and also to prevent infection to others is strict hygiene. The skin must be kept clean with soap. A soap with an anti-bacterial substance will provide the most protection. A single boil can be cleared up with moist heat with no squeezing or other treatment necessary. However, if the abscess is near the nose, it requires care under a doctor's direction to take antibiotics orally to guard against brain damage.

Abscesses usually infect in the hair folliles from bacteria on the face neck or arms, but infections can begin on the skin at any part of the body if there is any kind of injury that breaks the skin. Because the bacteria is so contagious, it may be present on the skin and penetrate at the point of injury. The abscess can cause a severe pain with tenderness in the area, pus in the center and a feeling of fluid in the area. The skin around the abscess must be kept clean to keep from infecting the surrounding area which if infected could develop into a serious condition of cellulite. A severe abscess can be treted successfully by a doctor who will lance the abscess and drain the pus. The doctor must check the abscess to make sure all pus is removed from the abscess. If a small amount remains, the doctor can clear it out with a salt solution. If the sbscess is completely free of the pus, no further treatment is necessary.
