Body Boil

Body boil may affect liver problems and blood sugar. Abscesses usually infect in the hair follicles from bacteria on the face, neck or arms, but infections may begin on the skin at any part of the body if there is any kind of injury that breaks the skin. Because the infection of an abscess is so contagious, it may be present on the skin and penetrate at the point of injury. The abscess can cause severe pain with tenderness in the area and pus in the center. Also a feeling of fluid in the area may be present. The skin near the abscess must be kept clean to keep the abscess from infecting the surrounding area which if infected could develop into a serious condition of cellulite. A severe abscess cam be treated siccessfully under a doctor's care by lancing the abscess, then draining the abscess. The abscess must be carefully checked to make sure the abscess is completely free of pus. A small remainder can be cleared out with a salt solution. If the abscess is clean no further treatment is needed unless the abscess is near the nose. Abscesses near the nose should be removed with oral antibiotics to avoid the danger of brain damage. Body boil may affect liver problems and blood sugar.

Abscesses are infections of the skin by staphylococcal. They usually appear on the face or neck but sometimes infect the breast or buttock and the infection is in hair follicles. Abscesses are like pimples but quite larger, are tender, and have pus in the center. The abscess infections are contagious and could infect an entire group such as teenagers at a basketball or football camp using the same living quarters, dining area and toilet facilities along with careless hygiene. Carbuncles are clusters of abscesses but are much more severe and capable of causing fever and much more pain than single abscesses. The favorite spot for carbuncles is the back of the neck. The best prevention for abscesses and also to prevent infection to others is good hygiene. The skin must be kept clean with soap. A soap which has an anti-bacterial substance will give the most protection. A single boil may be eliminated with moist heat without squeezing and without additional treatment. Body boil may affect liver problems and blood sugar.
