Boil On Leg
Boil on leg may affect hepatitis or liver problems.
Abscesses are infections of the skin by staphylococcal bacteria. The abscesses usually appear on the face or neck but can infect on the skin on any part of the body. Abscesses are like pimples except much larger, have tenderness and pus in the center. Abscess infections are contagious and could infect an entire group such as teenagers at an athletic camp who use the same quarters, dining area and toilet facilities and have careless or poor hygiene. Carbuncles are clusters of abscesses that produce far more fever and pain than single abscesses. The favored location for carbuncles is the back of the neck.

The best prevention for abscesses and also to prevent infection to others is strict hygiene. The skin must be kept clean with soap. Soap with an anti-bacterial substance provides the most safety. A single abscess may be remedied with nothing but moist heat and withouit squeezing or any other treatment. However abscesses that are near the nose should be under a doctor's care for oral antibiotics. This is necessary to prevent the danger of brain infection.
