Paraphilias

Paraphilias

Paraphilias are in a category of sexually deviant behaviors, most of which are considered sexual perversions and socially unacceptable. Paraphilias include masochism, pedophilia, exhibitionism, transvestism, voyeurism, fetishism, sadism and many others.

Masochism is sexual stimulation through the suffering of oneself or another person.

Pedophilia is sexual stimulation through sexual acts with children.

Exhibitionism is stimulation and gratification through exposure of genitals to strangers.

Transvestism is sexual stimulation and enjoyment by dressing in clothing of the opposite sex.

Voyeurism is sexual stimulation by watching someone nude or undressing or engaged in sexual activities without the knowledge of the persons exposed.

Fetishism is sexual stimulation and gratification from physical objects instead of people.

Sadism is sexual stimulation and gratification from inflicting pain and suffering on sexual partners.
