High blood pressure stress may affect arthritis or cholesterol. Anxiety may cause a condition of hypertension but it is usually temporary unless the anxiety period is prolonged. The most effective rememdy for hypertension is to adopt a healthy lifestyle of exercise, weight control and nutrition. Healthy nutrition means to eat no refined glucose or carbohydrates, eat fruits, vegetables, lean protein, cold water fish, sprouted grain bread, fiber, celery stalks or celery juice, two table spoons of ground flax seed each day mixed in water, soy milk, or fruit juice, limit salt each day to 2.3 grams, but eat a generous amount of potassium rich vegetables and fruits.
