Birth blood control high pressure may affect arthritis or cholesterol. Preeclampsia is a combination of hypertension in a woman who is pregnant and has protein in the urine or retention of fluid causing edema. This condition will not respond to diuretics and the best treatment is bed rest and a normal amount of salt and drink more water. The woman should be under a doctor's care for this condition. If the woman doesn't improve she may have to be hospitalized and upon guidance from the doctor given drugs intravenously. If the hypertension gets close to normal, the baby can be delivered.
