High Diastolic Blood Pressure
High diastolic blood pressure may affect arthritis or cholesterol.
The measurement of the circulatory system is on two levels; the upper level is the sistole level and is the rcording when the heart contracts and the lower level is the diastole level when the heart rests between beats. The measurement for normal is 120 over 80 amd for hypertension is 140 over 90. With advancing age the two levels increase; however the diastole level does not increase after age fifty five but the sistole level keeps going up.
