Dyspepsia

Dyspepsia Research

Dyspepsia is a pain in the upper portion of the stomach. It may be recurring or constant. Stress could cause dyspepsia, but it might be a serious disease, caused by stomach ulcers or even cancer, so symptoms should always be checked by a doctor.

Symptoms include pain, belching because of gas in the stomach, a poor appetite, flatulence, diarrhea, or nausea. Eating may make it better or worse, depending on the person. If symptoms continue after a few weeks, tests should be made to diagnose the underlying condition.

Usually medication by the doctor can clear up the problem if there is no underlying condition.  If an underlying condition is diagnosed, it should be treated by the doctor.

A healthy lifestyle of proper nutrition and exercise plus elimination of bad habits such as smoking will be a great protection and cure for dyspepsia as well as for many other conditions.
