Cholesterol Guidelines

Cholesterol guidelines will benefit blood sugar and arthritis. Lipoproteins are one of two major fat substances that circulate in the arteries. Triglycerides are the others fats that circulate in the arteries. There are mainly two elements in the lipoproteins; the high density lipoproteins are the good HDL's that clean the arteries, and the bad low density lipoproteins LDL's that clog the arteries. The goal is to keep the total lipoprotein level in a range from 160 milligrams to 200 milligrams with HDL's at more than 25 percent of the total. Cholesterol guidelines will benefit blood sugar and arthritis.

Cholesterol Guidelines

  -

Cholesterol, blood sugar

The objective is not to get total lipoproteins to the lowest level, because a level below 140 milligrams is just as likely to cause a heart attack as one well above 200 milligrams. The way to keep the lipoproteins within or close to within the 160 to 200 range is a healthy lifestyle of proper nutrition, weight control and exercise. Cholesterol guidelines will benefit blood sugar and arthritis.
