Ldl Cholesterol
-
cholesterol, blood sugar
The risk of heart attack increases with low density lipoproteins but decreases with high density lipoproteins which is beneficial to the circulatory system. The risk of heart attack from lipoproteins depends more on the ratio of high density lipoproteins to total lipoproteins. In short, the goal is not so much to lower the lipoproteins as it is to have more than 25 percent of the total lipoproteins in high density lipoproteins.
