Lower bad cholesterol will benefit high blood pressure and arthritis. Lipoproteins consist primarily of HDL the good lipoproteins and LDL the bad lipoproteins. The goal is to drop the total level of lipoproteins to the satisfactory level of 140 to 200 milligrams with at least 25 percent of the total in the HDL good lipoproteins. A lower level of lipoproteins than 130 milligrams can be just as dangerous as a level over 200 milligrams. Lower bad cholesterol will benefit high blood pressure and arthritis.
