Cholesterol Count
Cholesterol count may affect high blood pressure and arthritis.
To get a measurement of lipoproteins requires a fluid sample from the arteries to be tested in a laboratory. The test will show the total lipoproteins, the amount of the low density lipoproteins, LDL and the high density lipoproteins HDL. The HDL's are the good lipoproteins which clean the arteries and the LDL's are the bad lipoproteins that clog the arteries.

Cholesterol Count
-
Cholesterol, high blood pressure
The objective is to get the total lipoproteins within the range of 160 to 200 milligrams with more than 25 percent in HDL lipoproteins. The goal is not to get the total lipoprotein level at the lowest level because any level below 140 milligrams is just as dangerous as one well over 200 milligrams.
