Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is a condition that happens frequently. It begins suddenly and only lasts a few seconds. This condition may be caused from a blow to the head or an age related degeneration. It happens when a person is lying in bed and makes a sharp move of the head from right to left, left to right,or backward looking up. This is a harmless condition and clears up on its own with no treatment.
