Borderline Personality Disorder

Borderline Personality Disorder

Borderline personality disorder is in the category of personality disorders and includes mostly women as it is a rarity for a man to have borderline personality disorder. This disorder is characterized by the changing feelings that women have of themselves.  They are unstable in their moods, behavior, and relations with others that are often intense and violent. This instability in self-image leads to frequent changes in jobs, goals, friendships, and values.

People with borderline personality disorder usually feel alone, helpless, and hate themselves. Although they know about their destructive behavior and feel badly about it, they have difficulty in overcoming it.

There is no cure for this and people rarely seek treatment, but if it becomes extremely troublesome, they should select a doctor who is experienced in treating personality disorders and in cognitive behavior. Drugs and psychiatric treatment will help control symptoms.

Regardless of the treatment selected, a healthy lifestyle of proper nutrition and exercise will not only help this disorder but almost any health condition.
