Elevated blood sugar is not caused by high blood pressure or cholesterol. When a person has a higher level of glucose than the normal level, it is type 2 diabetis and sometimes all it takes for correction is a five or ten percent decrease in body weight. Type 2 diabetes can be controlled by proper nutrition,body weight and exercise. Elevated blood sugar is not caused by high blood pressure or cholesterol.

For proper nutrition cut back on sweets and eat no refined carbohydrates. Eat five servings a day of fruits and vegetables, 25 grams of fiber each day with some lean protein with each meal. For food supplements take a multivitamin with all necessary vitamins and minerals; take one half a teaspoon of cinnamon sprinkled on food or in capsules. Exercise a minimum of thirty minutes three times a week. Elevated blood sugar is not caused by high blood pressure or cholesterol.
