Hypoglycemia is a dangerous condition since it cuts off glucose from the brain, and immediate action must be taken to avoid brain damage. The quick remedy is to take candy, glucose tablets, or food. This condition occurs when a diabetic has taken an overdose of insulin or skipped a meal. An overdose of insulin can be corrected by taking smaller shots more frequently and a skipped meal can be corrected by eating more meals with smaller portions. Blood food low sugar will not be affected by high blood pressure but may be affected by cholesterol.
