What causes low blood sugar will have no effect on high blood pressure but may effect cholesterol. When the glucose level drops significantly below the normal glucose range of 70 to 110 milligrams per a deciliter, it is a symptom of hypoglycemia. Outward symptoms for hypoglycemia are confusion,headache,dizziness, anxiety and in severe cases stupor and drunkeness. Hyoglycemia is a dangerous condition because it cuts off glucose to the brain which may cause brain damage. Hypoglycemia must be remedied quickly and it can be corrected quickly by eating glucose tablets,candy or food containing glucose. Most cases of hypoglycemia happen to diabetics who have taken an overdose of insulin or skipped a meal. Sometimes it occurs when a diabetic eats a meal but not enough of it.
