A diabetic should take prompt action to control the high glucose levels by weight control as sometimes a drop of 5 to l0 percent of body weight is all it takes to eliminate the high glucose levels. Other remedies are nutrition and exercise. Proper diet means cut back on sweets,eliminate all refined carbohydrates, eat fruits, vegetables, lean protein, take a multivitamin and each day one half a teaspoon of cinnamon sprinkled on food or in capsules.
