Diabetic Low Blood Sugar

  -

blood sugar, high blood pressure

Hypoglycemia cuts off glucose to the brain which in a severe case could cause brain damage. This can be quickly corrected by eating glucose tablets, candy, or food containing glucose. Hypoglycemia occurs to a diabetic when an over dose of insulin is taken or it could happen when a diabetic fasts or skips a meal. Diabetics can avoid over doses of insulin by taking smaller shots more frequently as directed by the doctor. Diabetic low blood sugar will not effect high blood pressure but may effect cholesterol.
