Normal Blood Sugar Values

Normal blood sugar values will have little effect on arthritis or cholesterol. The average glucose levels are in the median range of 70 to 110 milligrams per a deciliter. A significant level above this range is a symptom of diabetes, and a significant level below is a symptom of hypoglycemia. Diabetes is a dangerous disease and the glucose level must be controlled within or nearly within the median range. Normal blood sugar values will have little effect on arthritis or cholesterol.

If in the median range, the objective is to prevent the onset of diabetes. Diabetes can be prevented by proper nutrition, exercise and weight control. Weight control is of the utmost importance as ninety percent of diabetics are obese. A loss in body weight of five to ten percent may be all it takes to control diabetes. Normal blood sugar values will have little effect on arthritis or cholesterol.
