Low Blood Sugar Causes

Low blood sugar causes are not influenced by cholesterol or arthritis. When the glucose level drops sharply below the normal range of 70 to 110 milligrams per a deciliter, it causes a condition of hypoglycemia. There are many causes of hypoglycemia but the most common are diabetics who take an over dose of insulin or when a diabetic skips a meal. Low blood sugar causes are not influenced by cholesterol or arthritis.

Hypoglycemia is a dangerous condition because it cuts off glucose from the brain and in severe cases may cause brain damage. Hypoglycemia can be quickly corrected by eating glucose tablets, candy or food containing glucose. To avoid future problems from over doses, diabetics should take smaller shots more frequently as directed by the doctor. Low blood sugar causes are not influenced by cholesterol or arthritis.
