With many diabetics a five to ten percent body weight reduction is all it takes to get the glucose under control. A program of exercise of a minimum of thirty minutes three times a week will not only lower the glucose level, it will also lower weight. Proper nutrition means to cut down sweets, eat no refined glucose or carbohydrates, eat fruits,vegetables, lean protein, cold water fish,fiber and take a multivitamin with the necessary vitamins and minerals.
