Low glucose levels must be dealt with promptly and it can be quickly remedied by eating candy, glucose tablets or food containing glucose. Diabetics should carry a packet of glucose tablets in event of an attack of a condition of low glucose. This low glucose condition is temporary and usually is caused by the diabetic taking an over dose of insulin or skipping a meal.
