High Blood Sugar Levels

High blood sugar levels will not affect cholesterol but may affect high blood pressure. If the glucose reading is significantly above the normal range of 70 to 110 milligrams per a deciliter, it is a symptom of diabetes. This is a dangerous disease and if it is not controlled it could have serious complications as the disease progresses. High blood sugar levels will not affect cholesterol but may affect high blood pressure.

Diabetis 2 can be controlled through proper nutrition, weight control, and exercise. Proper nutrition means to cut down on sweets, eat no refined glucose or carbohydrates, eat fruits, vegetables, lean protein, cold water fish, fiber, and take a multivitamin with all the necessary vitamins and minerals. A five to ten percent loss in body weight may be all it takes to drop to within the normal range. High blood sugar levels will not affect cholesterol but may affect high blood pressure.
