Arthritis Drug
-
Arthritis, blood sugar
The two major types of drugs for treatment are non steroidal and Cox 2 inhibitors. The main non steroidal drugs used are Aspirin, Ibuprofin and Naproproxin and all may cause bleeding ulcers if used over a prolonged period. The Cox 2 inhibitors such as Vioxx are much more dangerous as they may cause heart attacks and strokes. Vioxx was taken off sale by the FDA for a huge number of heart attacks and strokes, but was later reinstated with stronger warning labels.
