Treatment should be directed to control the inflammation and skin rash with drugs as selected by the doctor and carefully monitored by the doctor for dangerous side affects.Although this disease is not as severe as a rheumatic arthritic condition because it affects fewer joints; if chronic the joints affected may be severely damaged. Joints usually affected are fingers and toes but it could be in other areas.
