Apraxia

Apraxia

Apraxia is an uncommon condition in the category of neurological disorders. It is a condition in which a person loses the ability to perform a task because of memory loss. The person may have complete coordination of his arms and legs but has forgotten a procedure in their use. Sometimes the person may lose the ability to perform a task such as riding a bicycle but is able to write an essay.

This is an injury to the brain and should be under the direction and diagnosis of a neurologist who will use the most effective treatment. The treatment is usually directed to control the underlying disorder that is the cause of the apraxia.  Regardless of the treatment, a healthy lifestyle of proper nutrition and physiotherapy will not only benefit this disorder but will help almost any health problem.
