Acne

Acne

Acne is a condition in which the skin becomes corroded which causes pimples and infected abscesses filled with pus. This infection is debris from dust, oil and other items on the skin. The clogging of the skin develops blackheads and whiteheads that cause acne and pimples. The development of pimples on the upper layer of the skin without abscesses is a condition of superficial acne. Pimples developed in the deep layers of the skin are called deep acne. Superficial acne is a mild condition and does not leave scars, but deep acne can become severe which develops big red patches with pus filled cysts that leave scars.

Treatment for acne usually consists of antibiotics to the skin and under a doctor's direction oral antibiotics. Mild acne will usually clear up in few months. There are a huge number of over the counter ointments, moisturizers, soaps and other concoctions that help for relief of acne particularly of superficial acne but deep acne should be under the care of a dermatologist because of the severity and dangers of the condition.
